Megan was super responsive and proactive in asking what she could do for us without being intrusive. Cute, clean, and new cabin made for a relaxing and great base for us to explore the local parks.

Lay Lodge was all that it was advertised and more. It was very private. Rather than going out and exploring the area, a few days we chose to just hang out on the deck and use the hot tub and sauna. And the best for us was the proximity to the waterfall. It was right there off the deck!! The sound of the rushing water was so relaxing. Then the firepit was perfect. The swings around it were set to the right height and distance away from the pit. We definitely will be back!!

Firstly, the host was great in so many ways. We decided last minute to go on a trip for my sons birthday and we stumbled across her beautiful Cabin. She was kind enough to accept our booking last minute (the night before) Then on top of that she was so understanding of our long drive and late departure time due to some unfortunate work issues and our late arrival. (Loved the door locks! made it so easy to remember late at night)She always checked in on us to make sure we were okay and had everything and anything we needed. The place was absolutely amazing! (Note they're small cabins) but that was perfect for us! My son loved the fire pillows, books and bunks! So greatful the kitchen was stocked with some cooking utensils, it made it so nice for us to cook in the cabin! The location is close to a lake(we were there when it was colder) but its still in a great location with under 4 hr drives to many places. Overall it was a great time and we enjoyed her cabin so very much!

Location was peaceful and quiet. Short drive to Devils Fork State Park. Main house has 1 upstairs bedroom with bathroom downstairs. Separate from main house is 4 bunk beds with separate entry. Large deck with great view. Great visit.

We had an awesome time at this cabin! It fit our needs perfectly and was very cozy! Megan was a great host! We will definitely be staying here again in the future!!!

Lovely little cabin just minutes from hiking, waterfalls, and Lake Jocassee. Megan was a fantastic host, making sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. We will definitely be back soon!

Breathtaking is how I would describe this location. The queen bed upstairs in the loft was the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in away from home. The house was clutter free which is a main reason I picked it especially with my 1.5 year old. Well stocked with towels, blankets, pillows, snacks and coffee. Even a bottle of wine. The kitchen was well stocked with knives that would cut limes. It’s the small things for me. The location was quite and close to trails with waterfalls to hike to. We had the best stay and hope to visit again in the future.

Great little place close to lake Jocassee! Nice yard to park a boat if necessary and nice view at the goats across the street! Really a beautiful area! Nice responsive host also!

I had such a wonderful mom’s getaway at this unique spot perched on top of a beautiful historic building overlooking the waterfall. The setting alone was unforgettable, but what made it even better was how well thought out the space was. I loved the outdoor features – especially the outdoor fridge and outdoor bathroom, which made it easy to spend almost all of my time outside enjoying the fresh air and scenery rather than staying indoors. The hosts stocked the place with everything I could possibly need, from plenty of towels to extra toilet paper and other supplies, which made my stay completely stress-free. The atmosphere was peaceful, relaxing, and just what I needed to recharge. If you’re looking for a getaway that combines history, nature, and thoughtful touches, this is the perfect place. I barely spent any time inside, and that’s exactly what made it so special.
